SUMMARY:Regional teaching : Pancreatobillary teaching at NSECH
DESCRIPTION:A practical pancreatobiliary teaching session is planned for 10 June 2026 at NSECH. The session will mirror the format of a successful previous event\, with short focused presentations followed by hands-on experience with equipment and support from medical representatives. SUMMARY:NETA EmPath Endoscopy OGD Course
DESCRIPTION:We would like to invite you to the second pathology training day we are organising in 2025. \n\n\n\nThe NETA EmPath (Empowering Trainees in Recognition and Management of Pathology) training days focus on pathology and lesion recognition\, but also provide opportunity to explore some of the aspects of Upper GI endoscopy that are often reliant circumstantial encounters during training at base sites\, for example\, report writing and communication of findings.  \n\n\n\nThe next date is the Monday 19th May 2025 at the DASH@Northumbira\, Wansbeck General Hospital\, Ashington. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nIf you wish to attend then please email eleanor.hackney@nhs.net or fraser.brown2@nhs.net ideally by Monday 7th April but I realise this is not long away. If necessary\, we would encourage you to submit study leave for this as early as possible. We understand that on call and other leave commitments are sometimes unavoidable.  \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe training day is aimed at individuals learning OGD in the North East and North Cumbria supported by NETA (ideally who have completed immersion block or have one planned)\, or who have achieved OGD certification in the last 3 months. Please contact us if you require further information about whether this course is suitable for you. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe focus of this day is on oesophageal pathology and is intended to be informative\, relaxed\, and hopefully a good opportunity to meet with other endoscopy trainees at a similar stage of training. They will be a mixture of short talks\, small group interaction and a bit of model work. Previous days have been well received and they are designed to complement your existing endoscopy training.
