Freeman Liver Reg Ready Course April

This course has been designed to support gastroenterology registrars in preparing for work in a tertiary liver unit. It was developed in response to colleagues’ concerns about managing complex liver cases, particularly in a liver transplant setting. Additionally, this training contributes towards the new requirement for trainees to complete 12 hours of simulation training during their specialist training.
The day will include a mix of lectures and simulation scenarios, providing a hands-on approach to key aspects of liver medicine.
With the recent curriculum changes, not all trainees in the Northern Deanery will rotate through a hepatology placement at the Freeman. This course aims to enhance your knowledge and confidence in managing complex liver diseases while also helping to build connections with consultants at the hospital.
Places are limited to six participants per session to ensure interactive learning.
